Rat Heat shock protein 90-alpha ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: HSP90A ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a Polyclonal anti-HSP90A antibody and an HSP90A-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with HSP90A-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the HSP90A concentration since HSP90A from samples and HSP90A-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-HSP90A antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by HSP90A from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind HSP90A-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The HSP90A concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is an inducible molecular chaperone that functions as a homodimer. The encoded protein aids in the proper folding of specific target proteins by use of an ATPase activity that is modulated by co-chaperones. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2012]
Uniprot Description
HSP90A: a molecular chaperone of the heat shock protein 90 family. Has ATPase activity. Known to interact with a wide variety of proteins including steroid hormone receptors, neuropeptide Y, FKBP51/54, and FKBP52. G protein-coupled receptor kinases are stabilized by interacting with HSP 90. Hsp70 and Hsp90 promote tau solubility and tau binding to microtubules, reducing insoluble tau phosphorylation of tau.

Product Notes
The Rat HSP90-alpha hsp90aa1 (Catalog #AAA7224294) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7224294 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat HSP90-alpha. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Heat shock protein 90-alpha, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
