Homeodomain Interacting Protein Kinase 1 Recombinant Protein | HIPK1 recombinant protein
Recombinant Homeodomain Interacting Protein Kinase 1 (HIPK1)
Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate of the target protein. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. (Referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calculated by the Arrhenius equation.) The loss of this protein is lessthan 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the Ser/Thr family of protein kinases and HIPK subfamily. It phosphorylates homeodomain transcription factors and may also function as a co-repressor for homeodomain transcription factors. Alternative splicing results in four transcript variants encoding four distinct isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
HIPK1: homeodomain interacting protein kinase 1 is a CMGC kinase of the DYRK family. May play a role as a corepressor for homeodomain transcription factors. Phosphorylates DAXX in response to stress, and mediates its translocation from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. Expression elevated in many breast cancer cell lines. Null mice are resistant to carcinogens. Binds the p53 tumor suppressor. 4 alternatively spliced isoforms of the human protein have been described.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Homeodomain Interacting Protein Kinase 1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
