Hairy/enhancer-of-split related with YRPW motif-like protein (HEYL) Recombinant Protein | HEYL recombinant protein
Recombinant Human Hairy/enhancer-of-split related with YRPW motif-like protein (HEYL)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the hairy and enhancer of split-related (HESR) family of basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH)-type transcription factors. The sequence of the encoded protein contains a conserved bHLH and orange domain, but its YRPW motif has diverged from other HESR family members. It is thought to be an effector of Notch signaling and a regulator of cell fate decisions. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found, but their biological validity has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
Downstream effector of Notch signaling which may be required for cardiovascular development (). Transcriptional repressor which binds preferentially to the canonical E box sequence 5'-CACGTG-3' (). Represses transcription by the cardiac transcriptional activators GATA4 and GATA6.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Hairy/enhancer-of-split related with YRPW motif-like protein (HEYL), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
