Sequence
Phe94-Arg210
Applicable Applications for VEGFD cell lysate
Western Blot (WB)
Application Notes
WB: Use at an assay dependent dilution.
Species
Rat
Recommend Usage
1. Centrifuge the tube for a few seconds and ensure the pellet at the bottom of the tube.2. Re-dissolve the pellet using 200uL pure water and boil for 2-5 min.
Sequence Construction
A DNA sequence encoding the rat FIGF (NP_113949.1) (Phe94-Arg210) was expressed, fused with the Fc region of human IgG1 at the N-terminus.
Preparation Method
Cell lysate was prepared by homogenization of the over-expressed cells in ice-cold modified RIPA Lysis Buffer with cocktail of protease inhibitors. Cell debris was removed by centrifugation. Protein concentration was determined by Bradford assay (protein assay, Microplate Standard assay). The cell lysate was boiled for 5 min in 1 x SDS loading buffer (50mM Tris-HCl pH 6.8, 12.5% glycerol, 1% sodium dodecylsulfate, 0.01% bromophenol blue) containing 5% b-mercaptoethanol, and lyophilized.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for up to twelve months from date of receipt. After re-dissolution, aliquot and store at -80 degree C for up to twelve months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt.
Related Product Information for VEGFD cell lysate
Vascular endothelial growth factor D (VEGF-D), also known as C-fos induced growth factor (FIGF), belongs to the platelet-derived growth factor/vascular endothelial growth factor (PDGF/VEGF) family. FIGF protein is active in angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis, and endothelial cell growth. FIGF protein is secreted as a non-covelent homodimer in an antiparallel fashion. Human FIGF protein is expressed in adult lung, heart, muscle, and small intestine, and is most abundantly expressed in fetal lungs and skin. FIGF protein is structurally and functionally similar to VEGF-C. Therefore, FIGF protein binds and activates VEGFR-2 (Flk1) and VEGFR-3 (Flt4) receptors, and may particularly be involved in cancers, such as breast cancer, epithelial ovarian carcinoma and so on.

This Rat VEGFD overexpression lysate was created in HEK293 Cells and intented for use as a Western blot (WB) positive control. Purification of VEGFD protein from the overexpression lysate was verified.

NCBI Description

binds to and activates the tyrosine kinase receptor VEGFR-3 and VEGFR-2; involved in positive regulation of lymphatic blood vessel growth [RGD, Feb 2006]

Uniprot Description

Growth factor active in angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis and endothelial cell growth, stimulating their proliferation and migration and also has effects on the permeability of blood vessels. May function in the formation of the venous and lymphatic vascular systems during embryogenesis, and also in the maintenance of differentiated lymphatic endothelium in adults. Binds and activates VEGFR-3 (Flt4) receptor ().

Product Notes

The VEGFD vegfd (Catalog #AAA8117383) is a Cell Lysate produced from HEK293 Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 377aa. AAA Biotech's VEGFD can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: Use at an assay dependent dilution. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the VEGFD vegfd for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Phe94-Arg2 10. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "VEGFD, Cell Lysate" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
