NCBI Description

The full-length protein encoded by this gene is an intracellular tetrapyrrole-binding protein. This protein includes a natural chemoattractant peptide of 21 amino acids at the N-terminus, which is a natural ligand for formyl peptide receptor-like receptor 2 (FPRL2) and promotes calcium mobilization and chemotaxis in monocytes and dendritic cells. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

HEBP1: May bind free porphyrinogens that may be present in the cell and thus facilitate removal of these potentially toxic compound. Binds with a high affinity to one molecule of heme or porphyrins. It binds metalloporphyrins, free porphyrins and N- methylprotoporphyrin with similar affinities. Belongs to the HEBP family.

Product Notes

The HEBP1 hebp1 (Catalog #AAA5308695) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Human and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's HEBP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HEBP1 hebp1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: 1-212aa: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MGSMLGMIKN SLFGSVETWP WQVLSKGDKE EVAYEERACE GGKFATVEVT DKPVDEALRE AMPKVAKYAG GTNDKGIGMG MTVPISFAVF PNEDGSLQKK LKVWFRIPNQ FQSDPPAPSD KSVKIEEREG ITVYSMQFGG YAKEADYVAQ ATRLRAALEG TATYRGDIYF CTGYDPPMKP YGRRNEIWLL KT. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HEBP1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
