Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for NE elisa kit
This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. A monoclonal antibody specific to Noradrenaline (NE) has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled Noradrenaline (NE) and unlabeled Noradrenaline (NE) (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to Noradrenaline (NE). After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of Noradrenaline (NE) in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of Noradrenaline (NE) in the sample.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the sodium:neurotransmitter symporter family. This member is a multi-pass membrane protein, which is responsible for reuptake of norepinephrine into presynaptic nerve terminals and is a regulator of norepinephrine homeostasis. Mutations in this gene cause orthostatic intolerance, a syndrome characterized by lightheadedness, fatigue, altered mentation and syncope. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified in this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Feb 2010]

Uniprot Description

SLC6A2: Amine transporter. Terminates the action of noradrenaline by its high affinity sodium-dependent reuptake into presynaptic terminals. Defects in SLC6A2 are a cause of orthostatic intolerance (OI). OI is a syndrome characterized by lightheadedness, fatigue, altered mentation and syncope. It is associated with postural tachycardia. Plasma norepinephrine concentration is abnormally high. Belongs to the sodium:neurotransmitter symporter (SNF) (TC 2.A.22) family. SLC6A2 subfamily.

Product Notes

The General NE slc6a2 (Catalog #AAA2000232) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2000232 ELISA Kit recognizes General NE. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Noradrenaline (NE), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
