Fish TRIO and F-Actin-Binding Protein (TRIOBP) ELISA Kit
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a protein that interacts with trio, which is involved with neural tissue development and controlling actin cytoskeleton organization, cell motility, and cell growth. The encoded protein also associates with F-actin and stabilizes F-actin structures. Domains contained in this encoded protein are an N-terminal pleckstrin homology domain and a C-terminal coiled-coil region. Mutations in the human gene have been associated with a form of autosomal recessive nonsyndromic deafness. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2012]
Uniprot Description
Tara: May regulate actin cytoskeletal organization, cell spreading and cell contraction by directly binding and stabilizing filamentous F-actin. The localized formation of TARA and TRIO complexes coordinates the amount of F-actin present in stress fibers. May also serve as a linker protein to recruit proteins required for F-actin formation and turnover. Defects in TRIOBP are the cause of deafness autosomal recessive type 28 (DFNB28). 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Actin-binding; Cytoskeletal
Cellular Component: actin cytoskeleton; cytoplasm; cytoskeleton; focal adhesion; nucleus
Molecular Function: actin binding; actin filament binding; ubiquitin protein ligase binding

Product Notes
The Fish TRIOBP triobp (Catalog #AAA9354152) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9354152 ELISA Kit recognizes Fish TRIOBP. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TRIO and F-Actin-Binding Protein (TRIOBP), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
