Related Product Information for FIL1h elisa kit
Principle of the Assay: FIL1h ELISA kit applies the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate has been pre-coated with a monoclonal antibody specific for FIL1h. Standards or samples are then added to the microtiter plate wells and FIL1h if present, will bind to the antibody pre-coated wells. In order to quantitatively determine the amount of FIL1h present in the sample, a standardized preparation of horseradish peroxidase (HRP) -conjugated polyclonal antibody, specific for FIL1h are added to each well to "sandwich" the FIL1h immobilized on the plate. The microtiter plate undergoes incubation, and then the wells are thoroughly washed to remove all unbound components. Next, substrate solutions are added to each well. The enzyme (HRP) and substrate are allowed to react over a short incubation period. Only those wells that contain FIL1h and enzyme-conjugated antibody will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The FIL1h concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. Protein structure modeling indicated that this cytokine may contain a 12-stranded beta-trefoil structure that is conserved between IL1A (IL-A alpha) and IL1B (IL-1 beta). This gene and eight other interleukin 1 family genes form a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 2. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

IL36B: Stimulates production of interleukin-6 and interleukin-8 in synovial fibrobasts, articular chondrocytes and mature adipocytes. Induces expression of a number of antimicrobial peptides including beta-defensins 4 and 103 as well as a number of matrix metalloproteases. Belongs to the IL-1 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The Porcine FIL1h il36b (Catalog #AAA737979) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA737979 ELISA Kit recognizes Porcine FIL1h. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Interleukin 1 Eta, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
