Preparation and Storage
Storage:
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Store at 2-8 degree C for one month.
Aliquot and store at -80 degree C for 12 months.

Stability Test:
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition

Uniprot Description

Function: Appears to have a function in striated muscle development and regeneration.

Catalytic activity: 2-phospho-D-glycerate = phosphoenolpyruvate + H2O.

Cofactor: Magnesium. Required for catalysis and for stabilizing the dimer.

Pathway: Carbohydrate degradation; glycolysis; pyruvate from D-glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate: step 4/5.

Subunit structure: Mammalian enolase is composed of 3 isozyme subunits, alpha, beta and gamma, which can form homodimers or heterodimers which are cell-type and development-specific. Interacts with PNKD

By similarity.

Subcellular location: Cytoplasm. Note: Localized to the Z line

By similarity. Some colocalization with CKM at M-band. Ref.4

Tissue specificity: The alpha/alpha homodimer is expressed in embryo and in most adult tissues. The alpha/beta heterodimer and the beta/beta homodimer are found in striated muscle, and the alpha/gamma heterodimer and the gamma/gamma homodimer in neurons.

Developmental stage: During ontogenesis, there is a transition from the alpha/alpha homodimer to the alpha/beta heterodimer in striated muscle cells.

Sequence similarities: Belongs to the enolase family.

Product Notes

The MSE eno3 (Catalog #AAA2009113) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E.coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Recombinant Enolase, Muscle Specific (MSE) reacts with Oryctolagus cuniculus (Rabbit) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Enolase, Muscle Specific (MSE) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Positive Control; Immunogen; SDS-PAGE; Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MSE eno3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MQKIFARE ILDSRGNPTV EVDLHTAKGR FRAAVPSGAS TGIYEALELR DGDKSRYLGK GVLKAVEHIN KTLGPALLEK KLSVVDQEKV DKFMIELDGT ENKSKFGANA ILGVSLAVCK AGAAEKGVPL YRHIADLAGN HDLVLPVPAF NVINGGSHAG NKLAMQEFMI LPVGASSFRE AMRIGAEVYH HLKGVIKAKY GKDATNVGDE GGFAPNILEN NEALELLKTA IQAAGYPDKV VIGMDVAASE FHRNGKYDLD FKSPDDPARH ITGQKLGELY KSFIKNYPVV SIEDPFDQDD WATWTSFLSG VDIQIVGDDL TVTNPKRIAQ AVEKKACNCL LLKVNQIGSV TESIQACKLA QSNGWGVMVS HRSGETEDTF IADLVVGLCT GQIKTGAPCR SERLAKYNQL MRIEEALGDK AVFAGRKFRN PKAK. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Enolase, Muscle Specific (MSE), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
