CXCL1 / GROalpha elisa kit
CXCL1 / GROalpha (Mouse) ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: This kit is based on a sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti-BDNF polyclonal antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. The biotin conjugated anti-BDNF polyclonal second antibody was used as detection antibody. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody are added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrate is added to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB is catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changes into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The optical density of the yellow color is proportional to the BDNF amount of the sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of BDNF in the sample can be calculated!!Background/Introduction: Brain-derived neurotrophic factor, also known as BDNF, is a prosurvival factor induced by cortical neurons that is necessary for survival of striatal neurons in the brain. BDNF is a member of the "neurotrophin" family of growth factors, which are related to the NGF. It acts on certain neurons of the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system, helping to support the survival of existing neurons, and encourage the growth and differentiation of new neurons and synapses. In the brain, it is active in the hippocampus, cortex, and basal forebrain—areas vital to learning, memory, and higher thinking. Post mortem analysis has shown lowered levels of BDNF in the brain tissues of people with Alzheimer's disease.

The CXCL1 / GROalpha (Catalog #AAA495352) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CXCL1 / GROalpha, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
