Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized CTACK in sterile 18M Omega -cm H2O not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity
The biological activity determined by a chemotaxis bioassay using human peripheral blood lymphocytes is in a concentration range of 10-100 ng/ml.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized CTACK although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18 degree C. Upon reconstitution CTACK should be stored at 4 degree C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18 degree C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Uniprot Description

CCL27: Chemotactic factor that attracts skin-associated memory T-lymphocytes. May play a role in mediating homing of lymphocytes to cutaneous sites. May play a role in cell migration during embryogenesis. Nuclear forms may facilitate cellular migration by inducing cytoskeletal relaxation. Binds to CCR10. Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family.

Protein type: Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted; Chemokine; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Cellular Component: extracellular region; nucleus

Molecular Function: protein binding; cytokine activity

Product Notes

The mCTACK ccl27 (Catalog #AAA146129) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: LPLPSSTSCC TQLYRQPLPS RLLRRIVHME LQEADGDCHL QAVVLHLARR SVCVHPQNRS LARWLERQGK RLQGTVPSLN LVLQKKMYSN PQQQN. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CTACK, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
