Related Product Information for C10 active protein
Murine C10 belongs to the CC chemokine family and is expressed in myelopoietic bone marrow cultures when stimulated with GM-CSF, M-CSF, IL-3 or IL-4. It signals primarily through the CCR1 receptor. C10 is chemotactic for B cells, CD4+ T cells, monocytes and NK cells and also exhibits powerful suppressive activity on colony formation by different lineages of hematopoietic progenitors. The C10 contains the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in CC chemokines. The mature protein contains 95 amino acid residues. Recombinant murine C-10 is a 10.7 kDa protein containing 95 amino acid residues.

Uniprot Description

CCL6: Shows chemotactic activity for monocytes, resting T- lymphocytes, and neutrophils, but not for activated lymphocytes. Inhibits proliferation of myeloid progenitor cells in colony formation assays. This protein can bind heparin. Binds CCR1. CCL23(19-99), CCL23(22-99), CCL23(27-99), CCL23(30-99) are more potent chemoattractants than the small-inducible cytokine A23. Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Secreted, signal peptide; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Secreted

Cellular Component: extracellular space; extracellular region

Molecular Function: chemokine activity; cytokine activity

Product Notes

The C10 ccl6 (Catalog #AAA695783) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Murine C-10 (CCL6) reacts with Species Reactivity: Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. The amino acid sequence is listed below: GLIQEIEKE DRRYNPPII HQGFQDTSS DCCFSYATQ IPCKRFIYY FPTSGGCIK PGIIFISRR GTQVCADPS DRRVQRCLS TLKQGPRSG NKVIA. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "C-10, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
