Related Product Information for IL19 active protein
IL19 belongs to the IL-10 family of proinflammatory cytokines, which is composed of IL10, IL19, IL20, IL22, IL24, and IL26. IL19 is mainly expressed in monocytes and binds to the IL20 receptor complex which leads to the activation of the signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3). It also performs up-regulation of IL6 and TNF-alpha and apoptosis induction, thus signifying its role in inflammatory responses.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that belongs to the IL10 cytokine subfamily. This cytokine is found to be preferentially expressed in monocytes. It can bind the IL20 receptor complex and lead to the activation of the signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3). A similar cytokine in mouse is reported to up-regulate the expression of IL6 and TNF-alpha and induce apoptosis, which suggests a role of this cytokine in inflammatory responses. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the distinct isoforms have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

IL19: May play some important roles in inflammatory responses. Up-regulates IL-6 and TNF-alpha and induces apoptosis. Belongs to the IL-10 family.

Product Notes

The IL19 il19 (Catalog #AAA4159854) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IL19, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
