IL11 active protein

Recombinant Mouse IL11

Gene Names
Il11; IL-11
Purity
>95% as determined by SDS-PAGE
Synonyms
IL11; Recombinant Mouse IL11; IL-11; Recombinant Mouse Interleukin-11 (IL11); IL11 active protein
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Host
E Coli
Purity/Purification
>95% as determined by SDS-PAGE
Form/Format
Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered PBS solution.
Sequence Length
199
Bioactivity
The ED(50) was determined by the dose-dependent proliferation of LLC1 cells and was found to be <0.5ng/mL.
Endotoxin Level
<1.0 EU/ug of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method.
Reconstitution
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.
Preparation and Storage
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at-70 degree C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2-8 degree C for one month, or at-20 degree C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Related Product Information for IL11 active protein
IL-11 is secreted by bone marrow stromal cells (fibroblasts) and is produced also by a number of mesenchymal cells. The IL-11 receptor (alpha chain) utilizes gp130 as its signal transducer, which is also a component of other cytokine receptors. The alpha chain of the IL-11 receptor has been identified independently as Etl2. IL-11 promotes primary and secondary immune responses in vitro and in vivo and modulates antigen-specific antibody reactions. IL-11 promotes the proliferation of IL-6 dependent plasmacytoma cell lines in the presence of neutralizing IL6 antibodies. IL-11 also stimulates the T cell dependent development of IgG-secreting B cells in spleen cell cultures. IL-11 inhibits the differentiation of pre-adipocytes. It induces the synthesis of some acute phase proteins by hepatocytes.

Product Notes

The IL11 il11 (Catalog #AAA4159929) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IL11, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
