Related Product Information for DNAL4 recombinant protein
DNAL4 is a component of the dynein motor complex in cells which converts the chemical energy contained in ATP into the mechanical energy of movement. Dynein transports various cellular cargo by 'walking' along cytoskeletal microtubules towards the minus-end of the microtubule, which is usually oriented towards the cell center. Recombinant human DNAL4 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E Coli and purified by using conventional chromatography.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes an axonemal dynein light chain which functions as a component of the outer dynein arms complex. This complex acts as the molecular motor that provides the force to move cilia in an ATP-dependent manner. The encoded protein is expressed in tissues with motile cilia or flagella and may be involved in the movement of sperm flagella. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2014]

Uniprot Description

Force generating protein of respiratory cilia. Produces force towards the minus ends of microtubules. Dynein has ATPase activity ().

Product Notes

The DNAL4 dnal4 (Catalog #AAA204039) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The tag for this protein is His-tag. AAA Biotech's DNAL4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DNAL4 dnal4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MGETEGKKDE ADYKRLQTFP LVRHSDMPEE MRVETMELCV TACEKFSNNN ESAAKMIKET MDKKFGSSWH VVIGEGFGFE ITHEVKNLLY LYFGGTLAVC VWKCS. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DNAL4, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
