Chaperone protein DnaK (dnaK) Recombinant Protein | dnaK recombinant protein
Recombinant Escherichia coli Chaperone protein DnaK (dnaK)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
ATP-regulated binding and release of polypeptide substrates. [More information is available at EcoGene: EG10241]. Hsc56 exhibits specificity toward Hsc62, as Hsc56 does not activate DnaK or Hsc66 ATPase activity . [More information is available at EcoCyc: EG10241].
Uniprot Description
Plays an essential role in the initiation of phage lambda DNA replication, where it acts in an ATP-dependent fashion with the DnaJ protein to release lambda O and P proteins from the preprimosomal complex. DnaK is also involved in chromosomal DNA replication, possibly through an analogous interaction with the DnaA protein. Also participates actively in the response to hyperosmotic shock.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Chaperone protein DnaK (dnaK), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
