Uniprot Description

Tyrosine kinase that functions as cell surface receptor for fibrillar collagen and regulates cell attachment to the extracellular matrix, remodeling of the extracellular matrix, cell migration, differentiation, survival and cell proliferation. Collagen binding triggers a signaling pathway that involves SRC and leads to the activation of MAP kinases. Regulates remodeling of the extracellular matrix by up-regulation of the matrix metalloproteinases MMP2, MMP7 and MMP9, and thereby facilitates cell migration and wound healing. Promotes smooth muscle cell migration, and thereby contributes to arterial wound healing. Also plays a role in tumor cell invasion. Phosphorylates PTPN11. Required for normal blastocyst implantation during pregnancy, for normal mammary gland differentiation and normal lactation. Required for normal ear morphology and normal hearing ().

The amino acid sequence is listed below: DMKGHFDPAK CRYALGMQDR TIPDSDISAS SSWSDSTAAR HSSDGDGAWC PAGSVFPKEE EYLQVDLQRL HLVALVGTQG RHAGGLGKEF SRSYRLRYSR DGRRWMGWKD RWGQEVISGN EDPEGVVLKD LGPPMVARLV RFYPRADRVM SVCLRVELYG CLWRDGLLSY TAPVGQTMYL SEAVYLNDST YDGHTVGGLQ YGGLGQLADG VVGLDDFRKS QELRVWPGYD YVGWSNHSFS SGYVEMEFEF DRLRAFQAMQ VHCNNMHTLG ARLPGGVECR FRRGPAMAWE GEPMRHNLGG NLGDPRARAV SVPLGGRVAR FLQCRFLFAG PWLLFSEISF ISDVVNNSSP ALGGTFPPAP WWPPGPPPTN FSSLELEPRG QQPVAKAEGS PTA. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Epithelial discoidin domain-containing receptor 1 (DDR1), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
