Host
E Coli
Form/Format
Recombinant GRO-gamma/CXCL3 was lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered concentrated (1.0mg/ml) solution in 40mM NaCl, 10mM PB, pH7.0.
Applicable Applications for GROgamma recombinant protein
Cell Assay
Species
Human
Endotoxin Level
<1.0EU/ug of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method
Reconstitution
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.
Preparation and Storage
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70 degree C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2 degree -8 degree C for one month, or at -20 degree C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Related Product Information for GROgamma recombinant protein
Recombinant Human GRO gamma (CXCL3) was expressed in E Coli cells. The protein accession number is P19876
Growth regulated oncogene-gamma belongs to the family of chemotyctic cytokines called chemokines. It is identical with MGSA (melanoma growth stimulatory activity) and the new designation is CXCL3. This factor is known mainly because of its chemotactic activity. GRO expression is inducible by serum or PDGF and/or by a variety of inflammatory mediators, such as IL-1 and TNF, in monocytes, fibroblasts, melanocytes and epithelial cells. In certain tumor cell lines, GRO is expressed constitutively. Similar to other alpha chemokines, the three GRO proteins are potent neutrophil attractants and activators. In addition, these chemokines are also active toward basophils. All three GROs can bind with high affinity to the IL-8 receptor type B.

Uniprot Description

CXCL3: Ligand for CXCR2. Has chemotactic activity for neutrophils. May play a role in inflammation and exert its effects on endothelial cells in an autocrine fashion. In vitro, the processed form GRO-gamma(5-73) shows a fivefold higher chemotactic activity for neutrophilic granulocytes. Belongs to the intercrine alpha (chemokine CxC) family.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 4q21

Cellular Component: extracellular space; extracellular region

Molecular Function: chemokine activity; CXCR chemokine receptor binding

Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; neutrophil chemotaxis; positive regulation of leukocyte chemotaxis; response to lipopolysaccharide; immune response; inflammatory response; regulation of cell proliferation

Product Notes

The GROgamma cxcl3 (Catalog #AAA517038) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's GRO gamma (CXCL3) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Cell Assay. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GROgamma cxcl3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GRO gamma (CXCL3), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
