NCBI Description

This gene encodes a protein that is a member of the CXC subfamily of chemokines. Chemokines, which recruit and activate leukocytes, are classified by function (inflammatory or homeostatic) or by structure. This secretory protein is proposed to bind the G-protein coupled receptor chemokine (C-X-C motif) receptor 2 to recruit neutrophils. In mouse, deficiency of this gene is associated with colitis and with defects in immune cell recruitment to the lung. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2013]

Uniprot Description

CXCL2: Produced by activated monocytes and neutrophils and expressed at sites of inflammation. Hematoregulatory chemokine, which, in vitro, suppresses hematopoietic progenitor cell proliferation. GRO-beta(5-73) shows a highly enhanced hematopoietic activity. Belongs to the intercrine alpha (chemokine CxC) family.

Product Notes

The CXCL1 cxcl1 (Catalog #AAA232359) is a Recombinant Protein and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's CXCL1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Functional Assays (FN), Western Blot (WB). ELISA: Minimum Dilution: 0.2; Maximum Dilution: 0.4ng/well; Functional Assays: Minimum Dilution: 0.01; Maximum Dilution: 0.10ug/ml; Western Blotting: Minimum Dilution: 1.5; Maximum Dilution: 3.0ng/lane. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CXCL1 cxcl1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CXCL1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
