Related Product Information for CLEC3B recombinant protein
Background: Tetranectin (TN), also known as C-type lectin domain family 3, member B (CLEC3B) is a member of the C-type lectin Family. It is plasminogen kringle 4 binding protein and regulates fibrinolysis and proteolytic processes via binding to plasminogen. Tetranectin has been suggested to play a role in tissue remodeling, due to its ability to stimulate plasminogen activation and its expression in developing tissues such as developing bone and muscle. Tetranectin enhances plasminogen activation by a tissue-type plasminogen activator so that it has been suggested to play a role in tissue remodeling. Tetranectin may play a role in the wound healing process. Tetranectin may play a role in neurological diseases and may serve as a aid in multiple sclerosis (MS). Tetranectin was found significantly under-expressed in both serum and saliva of metastatic oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) compared to primary OSCC. Tetranectin is thought to enhance proteolytic processes enabling tumor cells to invade and metastasize.

Description: A DNA sequence encoding the second extracellular domain of human CLEC3B (AAX37102.1) (Met 1-Val 202) was fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

Product Notes

The CLEC3B (Catalog #AAA2545455) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Human Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The secreted recombinant human CLEC3B consists of 192 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 21.5 kDa. In SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, the apparent molecular mass of the protein is approximately 24 kDa. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CLEC3B for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CLEC3B / Tetranectin, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
