Related Product Information for CLDN8 elisa kit
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Claudin 8 (CLDN8). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Claudin 8 (CLDN8). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Claudin 8 (CLDN8), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Claudin 8 (CLDN8) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Product Categories/Family for CLDN8 elisa kit
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the claudin family. Claudins are integral membrane proteins and components of tight junction strands. Tight junction strands serve as a physical barrier to prevent solutes and water from passing freely through the paracellular space between epithelial or endothelial cell sheets, and also play critical roles in maintaining cell polarity and signal transductions. This protein plays important roles in the paracellular cation barrier of the distal renal tubule, and in the paracellular barrier to prevent sodium back-leakage in distal colon. Differential expression of this gene has been observed in colorectal carcinoma and renal cell tumors, and along with claudin-7, is an immunohistochemical marker for the differential diagnosis of chromophobe renal cell carcinoma and renal oncocytoma.[provided by RefSeq, May 2010]

Product Notes
The Human CLDN8 cldn8 (Catalog #
AAA2031916) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2031916 ELISA Kit recognizes Human CLDN8.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"Claudin 8, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
