Related Product Information for CKM elisa kit
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with CKM. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated antibody preparation specific for CKM. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with pre-coated CKM and CKM in samples. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of CKM in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytoplasmic enzyme involved in energy homeostasis and is an important serum marker for myocardial infarction. The encoded protein reversibly catalyzes the transfer of phosphate between ATP and various phosphogens such as creatine phosphate. It acts as a homodimer in striated muscle as well as in other tissues, and as a heterodimer with a similar brain isozyme in heart. The encoded protein is a member of the ATP:guanido phosphotransferase protein family. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

CKM: Reversibly catalyzes the transfer of phosphate between ATP and various phosphogens (e.g. creatine phosphate). Creatine kinase isoenzymes play a central role in energy transduction in tissues with large, fluctuating energy demands, such as skeletal muscle, heart, brain and spermatozoa. Belongs to the ATP:guanido phosphotransferase family.

Product Notes

The Human CKM ckm (Catalog #AAA930166) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA930166 ELISA Kit recognizes Human CKM. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "creatine kinase, muscle, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
