Purity/Purification
Highly Purified
98% by RP-HPLC, FPLC, or reducing/non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stain. Chromatographically purified.
Form/Format
Supplied as a lyophlilzed powder in sodium phosphate dibasic, sodium phosphate monobasic buffer, 60% sodium chloride, 0.6% calcium chloride and 0.004% Tween 20.
Biological Activity
Erythropoietin is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The Specific Activity was measured by Normocyth-aemic mice and was found to be 1.2x10e5IU/mg.
Dimers and Aggregates
1% as determined by silver-stained SDS-PAGE gel analysis.
Endotoxin Level
0.1ng/ug (IEU/ug) of EPO-b.
Reconstitution
Reconstitute the lyophilized EPO-b in sterile 18M -cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile dH2O and store at -20 degree C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Product Notes

The Epo epo (Catalog #AAA650859) is an Active Protein produced from CHO cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Erythropoietin, beta, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
