Cytotoxic and regulatory T-cell molecule (CRTAM); Chicken Cytotoxic and regulatory T-cell molecule (CRTAM) ELISA Kit; CRTAM elisa kit
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Reactivity
Chicken
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of CRTAM. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between CRTAM and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between CRTAM and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
Samples
Serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate
Assay Type
Quantitative Competitive
Sensitivity
1.0 pg/mL
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for CRTAM elisa kit
Intended Uses: This CRTAM ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Chicken CRTAM. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or test applications!

Principle of the Assay: CRTAM ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing an anti-CRTAM antibody and an CRTAM-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with CRTAM-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the CRTAM concentration since CRTAM from samples and CRTAM-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-CRTAM antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by CRTAM from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind CRTAM-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The CRTAM concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

The CRTAM gene is upregulated in CD4 (see MIM 186940)-positive and CD8 (see CD8A; MIM 186910)-positive T cells and encodes a type I transmembrane protein with V and C1-like Ig domains (Yeh et al., 2008 [PubMed 18329370]).[supplied by OMIM, Feb 2009]

Uniprot Description

CRTAM: Interaction with CADM1 promotes natural killer (NK) cell cytotoxicity and interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma) secretion by CD8+ cells in vitro as well as NK cell-mediated rejection of tumors expressing CADM3 in vivo. Belongs to the nectin family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Apoptosis; Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 11q24.1

Cellular Component: plasma membrane; integral to membrane

Molecular Function: receptor binding

Biological Process: regulation of immune response; positive regulation of natural killer cell mediated cytotoxicity directed against tumor cell target; detection of tumor cell; activated T cell proliferation; detection of stimulus; cell recognition; positive regulation of natural killer cell mediated cytotoxicity; T cell mediated cytotoxicity; positive regulation of cytokine secretion

Product Notes

The Chicken CRTAM crtam (Catalog #AAA7238963) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7238963 ELISA Kit recognizes Chicken CRTAM. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cytotoxic and regulatory T-cell molecule (CRTAM), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
