Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate of the targetprotein. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation andprecipitation were observed. (Referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calculated by the Arrhenius equation.) The loss of this protein is lessthan 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
Function: Secretogranin-1 is a neuroendocrine secretory granule protein, which may be the precursor for other biologically active peptides.
Subcellular location: Secreted. Note: Neuroendocrine and endocrine secretory granules.
Post-translational modification: Peptide SR-17 exists in both monophosphorylated and diphosphorylated forms. Ref.1
Sequence similarities: Belongs to the chromogranin/secretogranin protein family.
Caution: Ref.1 reported the oxidation of Met-651 to sulfoxide. This is most probably an artifact of isolation.
Mass spectrometry: Molecular mass is 2034.04 Da from positions 606 - 622. Determined by ESI. With 1 phosphate group. Ref.1Molecular mass is 2115.42 Da from positions 606 - 622. Determined by ESI. With 2 phosphate groups. Ref.1Molecular mass is 3815.56 Da from positions 623 - 656. Determined by ESI. Ref.1Molecular mass is 1305.34 Da from positions 657 - 667. Determined by ESI. Ref.1

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Chromogranin B (CHGB), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
