SSR3 cdna clone
SSR3 cDNA Clone
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The signal sequence receptor (SSR) is a glycosylated endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane receptor associated with protein translocation across the ER membrane. The SSR is comprised of four membrane proteins/subunits: alpha, beta, gamma, and delta. The first two are glycosylated subunits and the latter two are non-glycosylated subunits. This gene encodes the gamma subunit, which is predicted to span the membrane four times. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2010]
Uniprot Description
SSR3: TRAP proteins are part of a complex whose function is to bind calcium to the ER membrane and thereby regulate the retention of ER resident proteins. Belongs to the TRAP-gamma family.
Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Membrane protein, integral
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3q25.31

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SSR3, cDNA Clone" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
