For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature.
For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Scientific Background: CDK11/Cyclin C is a member of the p34Cdc2 protein kinase family which are known to be essential for eukaryotic cell cycle control. CDK11/Cyclin C gene complex may harbor 1 or more tumor suppressor genes affected by chromosome 1p36 modifications in neuroblastoma (1). CDK11/Cyclin C expression is regulated during murine embryogenesis and its activity is coordinately regulated with that of p34 (cdc2) during the cell cycle (2).
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a protein that is one of the components of the Mediator co-activator complex. The Mediator complex is a multi-protein complex required for transcriptional activation by DNA binding transcription factors of genes transcribed by RNA polymerase II. The protein encoded by this gene is similar to cyclin-dependent kinase 8 which can also be a component of the Mediator complex. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2014]
Uniprot Description
CDK19: a protein that is one of the components of the Mediator coactivator complex. The Mediator complex is a multiprotein complex required for transcriptional activation by DNA binding transcription factors of genes transcribed by RNA polymerase II. The protein encoded by this gene is similar to cyclin-dependent kinase 8 which can also be a component of the Mediator complex. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes
The CDK11 cdk19 (Catalog #AAA515483) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Sf9 insect cells using baculovirus and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is Full length. AAA Biotech's CDK11/CyclinC can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Enzyme Assay, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CDK11 cdk19 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CDK11/CyclinC, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
