Related Product Information for CDH13 recombinant protein
Background: CDH13, also known as cadherin-13 and H Cadherin, is a member of the cadherin superfamily. CDH13 acts as a negative regulator of axon growth during neural differentiation. It also protects vascular endothelial cells from apoptosis due to oxidative stress, and is associated with resistance to atherosclerosis. CDH13 is localized to the surface of the cell membrane and is anchored by a GPI moiety, rather than by a transmembrane domain. CDH13 gene is hypermethylated in many type s of cancer.

Description: A DNA sequence encoding the rat CDH13 (NP_620244.1) (Met1-Ala692) was expressed with six amino acids (LEVLFQ) at the C-terminus.

Product Notes

The CDH13 (Catalog #AAA2547374) is a Recombinant Protein produced from HEK293 Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is Met1-Ala692. The recombinant rat CDH13 comprises 678 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 74.3 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the recombinant protein is approximately 84-96 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CDH13 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CDH13 / Cadherin-13 / H Cadherin, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
