Related Product Information for B7-1 recombinant protein
The protein encoded by this gene is a membrane receptor that is activated by the binding of CD28 or CTLA-4. The activated protein induces T-cell proliferation and cytokine production. This protein can act as a receptor for adenovirus subgroup B and may play a role in lupus neuropathy.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a membrane receptor that is activated by the binding of CD28 or CTLA-4. The activated protein induces T-cell proliferation and cytokine production. This protein can act as a receptor for adenovirus subgroup B and may play a role in lupus neuropathy. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]

Uniprot Description

Involved in the costimulatory signal essential for T-lymphocyte activation. T-cell proliferation and cytokine production is induced by the binding of CD28, binding to CTLA-4 has opposite effects and inhibits T-cell activation.

Product Notes

The B7-1 cd80 (Catalog #AAA188223) is a Recombinant Protein produced from HEK293 cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: B7-1 (Val35-Asn 242) + mFc (Pro99-Lys 330) + 6×His tag. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "B7-1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
