The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Principle of the Assay: CCKR ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a polyclonal anti-CCKR antibody and an CCKR-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with CCKR-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the CCKR concentration since CCKR from samples and CCKR-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-CCKR antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by CCKR from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind CCKR-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The CCKR concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a G-protein coupled receptor for gastrin and cholecystokinin (CCK), regulatory peptides of the brain and gastrointestinal tract. This protein is a type B gastrin receptor, which has a high affinity for both sulfated and nonsulfated CCK analogs and is found principally in the central nervous system and the gastrointestinal tract. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. A misspliced transcript variant including an intron has been observed in cells from colorectal and pancreatic tumors. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2015]
Uniprot Description
Receptor for gastrin and cholecystokinin. The CCK-B receptors occur throughout the central nervous system where they modulate anxiety, analgesia, arousal, and neuroleptic activity. This receptor mediates its action by association with G proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system.

Product Notes
The Rat CCKR cckbr (Catalog #AAA7255011) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7255011 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat CCKR. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cholecystokinin Receptor, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
