Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for CCK elisa kit
This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. A monoclonal antibody specific to Cholecystokinin (CCK) has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled Cholecystokinin (CCK) and unlabeled Cholecystokinin (CCK) (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to Cholecystokinin (CCK). After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of Cholecystokinin (CCK) in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of Cholecystokinin (CCK) in the sample.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the gastrin/cholecystokinin family of proteins. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate multiple protein products, including the peptide hormones cholecystokinin-8, -12, -33, and others. The encoded peptides have been shown to regulate gastric acid secretion and food intake. A sulfated form of cholecystokinin-8 may modulate neuronal activity in the brain. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2015]

Uniprot Description

CCK: This peptide hormone induces gall bladder contraction and the release of pancreatic enzymes in the gut. Its function in the brain is not clear. Binding to CCK-A receptors stimulates amylase release from the pancreas, binding to CCK-B receptors stimulates gastric acid secretion. Belongs to the gastrin/cholecystokinin family.

Product Notes

The Bovine CCK cck (Catalog #AAA2031977) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2031977 ELISA Kit recognizes Bovine CCK. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cholecystokinin, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
