Related Product Information for Cav-1 elisa kit
Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of Canine Caveolin-1 (also known as Cav-1) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.

Principle of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Canine Cav-1 antibody. Cav-1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Canine Cav-1 Antibody is added and binds to Cav-1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated Cav-1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Canine Cav-1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Uniprot Description

Involved in the costimulatory signal essential for T-cell receptor (TCR)-mediated T-cell activation. Its binding to DPP4 induces T-cell proliferation and NF-kappa-B activation in a T-cell receptor/CD3-dependent manner. May act as a scaffolding protein within caveolar membranes. Interacts directly with G-protein alpha subunits and can functionally regulate their activity. Forms a stable heterooligomeric complex with CAV2 that targets to lipid rafts and drives caveolae formation (). Recruits CTNNB1 to caveolar membranes and may regulate CTNNB1-mediated signaling through the Wnt pathway (PubMed:10816572). Negatively regulates TGFB1-mediated activation of SMAD2/3 by mediating the internalization of TGFBR1 from membrane rafts leading to its subsequent degradation (). Mediates the recruitment of CAVIN proteins (CAVIN1/2/3/4) to the caveolae (PubMed:19546242).

Product Notes

The Canine Cav-1 cav1 (Catalog #AAA166048) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA166048 ELISA Kit recognizes Canine Cav-1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Caveolin-1, Cav-1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
