Uniprot Description

CA9: Reversible hydration of carbon dioxide. Participates in pH regulation. May be involved in the control of cell proliferation and transformation. Appears to be a novel specific biomarker for a cervical neoplasia. Forms oligomers linked by disulfide bonds. By hypoxia. Expressed primarily in carcinoma cells lines. Expression is restricted to very few normal tissues and the most abundant expression is found in the epithelial cells of gastric mucosa. Inhibited by coumarins, saccharin, sulfonamide derivatives such as acetazolamide (AZA) and Foscarnet (phosphonoformate trisodium salt). Belongs to the alpha-carbonic anhydrase family.

Product Notes

The Mouse Ca9 ca9 (Catalog #AAA2880365) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2880365 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse Ca9. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Carbonic anhydrase 9, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
