Notes
Recombinant c-Myc protein is suitable for DNA and protein-protein interaction assays. 100ng are sufficient for DNA-protein and protein-protein interaction studies. The standard curve for TransAM c-Myc was generated using the range of 5-0.625ng of protein. NOTE: The presence of Poly [d(I-C)] in buffers may affect protein functionality and should be avoided.

Related Product Information for c-Myc recombinant protein
Short Description: Recombinant c-Myc was expressed in a bacterial system (accession number NM 002467) with an N-terminal His-Tag and purified by an affinity column in combination with FPLC chromatography. The purified recombinant protein is greater than 75% homogeneous and contains no detectable protease, DNase and RNase activity. c-Myc (Myc) is a sequence specific DNA binding transcription factor that regulates gene expression, especially genes involved in cell division. Myc family members contain a basic Helix-Loop-Helix leucine zipper (bHLHZ) domain. Myc family proteins associated with thousands of genes, especially those involved in cell growth and proliferation. c-Myc serves as an integrator of signal transduction, linking extracellular signals to an acute cellular growth response. Mutations and overexpression of c-Myc are associated with cell proliferation and cancer. Recombinant c-Myc protein is suitable for DNA-protein and protein-protein interaction assays.

Product Notes

The c-Myc (Catalog #AAA388010) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "c-Myc, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
