TMED9 blocking peptide

TMED9 Antibody (C-term) Blocking peptide

Gene Names
TMED9; p25; GMP25; p24a2; HSGP25L2G; p24alpha2
Synonyms
TMED9; TMED9 Antibody (C-term) Blocking peptide; Transmembrane emp24 domain-containing protein 9; GMP25; Glycoprotein 25L2; p24 family protein alpha-2; p24alpha2; p25; GP25L2; TMED9 blocking peptide
Ordering
Specificity
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody was selected from the C-term region of TMED9. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Form/Format
Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.
Sequence Length
235
Cellular Location
Endoplasmic reticulum membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Golgi apparatus, cis-Golgi network membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Endoplasmic reticulum-Golgi intermediate compartment membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Golgi apparatus, trans-Golgi network membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Note: Cycles between compartments of the early secretatory pathway
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C.
Related Product Information for TMED9 blocking peptide
Appears to be involved in vesicular protein trafficking, mainly in the early secretory pathway. In COPI vesicle-mediated retrograde transport involved in the coatomer recruitment to membranes of the early secretory pathway. Increases coatomer- dependent activity of ARFGAP2. Thought to play a crucial role in the specific retention of p24 complexes in cis-Golgi membranes; specifically contributes to the coupled localization of TMED2 and TMED10 in the cis-Golgi network. May be involved in organization of intracellular membranes, such as of the ER-Golgi intermediate compartment and the Golgi apparatus. Involved in ER localization of PTPN2 isoform PTPB.

NCBI Description

This gene is a member of a family of genes encoding transport proteins located in the endoplasmic reticulum and the Golgi. A similar gene in mouse is the target of microRNA miR-296, which is part of an imprinted cluster. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2016]

Product Notes

The TMED9 tmed9 (Catalog #AAA9219787) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TMED9, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
