SIGLEC10 blocking peptide

SIGLEC10 Antibody (C-term) Blocking Peptide

Gene Names
SIGLEC10; SLG2; PRO940; SIGLEC-10
Synonyms
SIGLEC10; SIGLEC10 Antibody (C-term) Blocking Peptide; Sialic acid-binding Ig-like lectin 10; Siglec-10; Siglec-like protein 2; SLG2; SIGLEC10 blocking peptide
Ordering
Specificity
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody was selected from the C-term region of human SIGLEC10. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Form/Format
The synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml deionized water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.
Sequence Length
697
Cellular Location
Isoform 1: Cell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein Isoform 3: Cell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein Isoform 5: Secreted.
Tissue Location
Expressed by peripheral blood leukocytes (eosinophils, monocytes and a natural killer cell subpopulation) Isoform 5 is found to be the most abundant isoform. Found in lymph node, lung, ovary and appendix. Isoform 1 is found at high levels and isoform 2 at lower levels in bone marrow, spleen and spinal chord. Isoform 2 is also found in brain. Isoform 4 is specifically found in natural killer cells
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C.
Related Product Information for SIGLEC10 blocking peptide
Putative adhesion molecule that mediates sialic-acid dependent binding to cells. Preferentially binds to alpha-2,3- or alpha-2,6-linked sialic acid. The sialic acid recognition site may be masked by cis interactions with sialic acids on the same cell surface. In the immune response, may act as an inhibitory receptor upon ligand induced tyrosine phosphorylation by recruiting cytoplasmic phosphatase(s) via their SH2 domain(s) that block signal transduction through dephosphorylation of signaling molecules.

NCBI Description

SIGLECs are members of the immunoglobulin superfamily that are expressed on the cell surface. Most SIGLECs have 1 or more cytoplasmic immune receptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs, or ITIMs. SIGLECs are typically expressed on cells of the innate immune system, with the exception of the B-cell expressed SIGLEC6 (MIM 604405).[supplied by OMIM, Jul 2002]

Uniprot Description

Siglec-10: a cell surface protein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily and the SIGLEC (sialic acid binding Ig-like lectin) family. Most SIGLECs have 1 or more cytoplasmic immune receptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs, or ITIMs. Putative adhesion molecule that mediates sialic-acid dependent binding to cells. Preferentially binds to alpha2,3- or 2,6-linked sialic acid. The sialic acid recognition site may be masked by cis interactions with sialic acids on the same cell surface. SIGLECs are typically expressed on cells of the innate immune system, with the exception of the B-cell expressed SIGLEC6. In the immune response, may act as an inhibitory receptor upon ligand induced tyrosine phosphorylation by recruiting cytoplasmic phosphatase(s) via their SH2 domain(s) that block signal transduction through dephosphorylation of signaling molecules. Five alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Protein type: Cell adhesion; Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.3

Product Notes

The SIGLEC10 siglec10 (Catalog #AAA9221592) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SIGLEC10, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
