SAR1A blocking peptide

SAR1A Antibody (Center) Blocking Peptide

Gene Names
SAR1A; SAR1; Sara; SARA1; masra2
Synonyms
SAR1A; SAR1A Antibody (Center) Blocking Peptide; GTP-binding protein SAR1a; COPII-associated small GTPase; SAR1; SARA; SARA1; SAR1A blocking peptide
Ordering
Specificity
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody was selected from the Center region of human SAR1A. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Form/Format
Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.
Sequence Length
198
Cellular Location
Endoplasmic reticulum. Golgi apparatus
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C.
Related Product Information for SAR1A blocking peptide
Involved in transport from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus (By similarity). Required to maintain SEC16A localization at discrete locations on the ER membrane perhaps by preventing its dissociation. SAR1A-GTP-dependent assembly of SEC16A on the ER membrane forms an organized scaffold defining endoplasmic reticulum exit sites (ERES).

Uniprot Description

SAR1A: Involved in transport from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus. Belongs to the small GTPase superfamily. SAR1 family.

Protein type: G protein, monomeric; G protein, monomeric, SAR1; G protein

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 10q22.1

Product Notes

The SAR1A sar1a (Catalog #AAA9226425) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SAR1A, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
