Related Product Information for Rab3A blocking peptide
Blocking peptides are peptides that bind specifically to the target antibody and block antibody binding. These peptide usually contains the epitope recognized by the antibody. Antibodies bound to the blocking peptide no longer bind to the epitope on the target protein. This mechanism is useful when non-specific binding is an issue, for example, in Western blotting (immunoblot) and immunohistochemistry (IHC). By comparing the staining from the blocked antibody versus the antibody alone, one can see which staining is specific; Specific binding will be absent from the western blot or immunostaining performed with the neutralized antibody.

Uniprot Description

RAB3A: Involved in exocytosis by regulating a late step in synaptic vesicle fusion. Could play a role in neurotransmitter release by regulating membrane flow in the nerve terminal. Heterodimer with RIMS2. Part of a ternary complex involving PCLO and EPAC2. Interacts with RPH3A. Interacts with the exocyst complex through SEC15. Binds SYTL4, RIMS1 and RIMS2. Interacts with RAB3IP. Interacts with SGSM1 and SGSM3. Specifically expressed in brain. Belongs to the small GTPase superfamily. Rab family.

Product Notes

The Rab3A rab3a (Catalog #AAA9617809) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Rab3A can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Blocking/Control. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Rab3A rab3a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Rab3A, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
