Related Product Information for PITPNM1 blocking peptide
Regulates RHOA activity, and plays a role in cytoskeleton remodeling. Necessary for normal completion of cytokinesis. Plays a role in maintaining normal diacylglycerol levels in the Golgi apparatus. Binds phosphatidyl inositol phosphates (in vitro). May catalyze the transfer of phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidylcholine between membranes (By similarity). Necessary for maintaining the normal structure of the endoplasmic reticulum and the Golgi apparatus. Required for protein export from the endoplasmic reticulum and the Golgi. Binds calcium ions.

NCBI Description

PITPNM1 belongs to a family of membrane-associated phosphatidylinositol transfer domain-containing proteins that share homology with the Drosophila retinal degeneration B (rdgB) protein (Ocaka et al., 2005 [PubMed 15627748]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]

Uniprot Description

PITPNM1: putatively transfers phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidylcholine between membranes. Regulates RHOA activity, and plays a role in cytoskeleton remodeling. Has higher affinity for the inactive, GDP-bound form of RHOA. Necessary for normal completion of cytokinesis and for maintaining the normal structure of the endoplasmic reticulum and the Golgi apparatus. Plays a role in maintaining normal diacylglycerol levels in the Golgi apparatus. Required for protein export from the endoplasmic reticulum and the Golgi. Binds calcium ions. Interacts with PIK4CA and with Pyk2 via its C-terminus. Phosphorylated on multiple sites by CDC2 at the onset of mitosis. CDC2-phosphorylated forms may interact with PLK1. Interacts with VAPB. Phosphorylated on threonine residues upon treatment with oleic acid.

Product Notes

The PITPNM1 pitpnm1 (Catalog #AAA9222407) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PITPNM1, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
