Related Product Information for Nup160 blocking peptide
Nuclear pore complexes (NPCs) are the channels for the bi-directional movement of macromolecules between the nucleus and cytoplasm, and contain more than 100 different subunits. Many of them belong to a family called nucleoporins, which are characterized by the presence of O-linked N-acetylglucosamine moieties and a distinctive pentapeptide repeat (XFXFG).Nuclear pore complex protein Nup96 (Nup96) is formed by cleavage of a 186 kDa precursor protein. This proteolytic cleavage yields two nucleoporins, Nup98 and Nup96. Nup96 is part of the Nup160 subcomplex in the nuclear pore (which consists of Nup160, Nup133, Nup107 and Nup96). Nup96 plays a major role in the two-way transport across the nuclear pore and is important in RNA export.

Product Notes

The Nup160 nup160 (Catalog #AAA3003670) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Nup160 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Blocking. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Nup160 nup160 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Nup160, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
