Uniprot Description

LRRC26: Auxiliary protein of the large-conductance, voltage and calcium-activated potassium channel (BK alpha). Required for the conversion of BK alpha channels from a high-voltage to a low- voltage activated channel type in non-excitable cells. These are characterized by negative membrane voltages and constant low levels of calcium. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 9q34.3

Cellular Component: voltage-gated potassium channel complex; cytoskeleton; cytoplasm

Molecular Function: protein binding; potassium channel regulator activity

Biological Process: ion transport

Product Notes

The LRRC26 lrrc26 (Catalog #AAA153893) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's LRRC26 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Blocking (BL). The peptide is used for blocking the activity of LRRC26 antibody. It usually blocks the antibody activity completely by incubating the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30 min at 37 degree C. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LRRC26 lrrc26 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "LRRC26, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
