BAHD1 blocking peptide

BAHD1 Antibody (C-term) Blocking Peptide

Synonyms
BAHD1; BAHD1 Antibody (C-term) Blocking Peptide; Bromo adjacent homology domain-containing 1 protein; BAH domain-containing protein 1; KIAA0945; BAHD1 blocking peptide
Ordering
Specificity
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody was selected from the C-term region of human BAHD1. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Form/Format
Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.
Sequence Length
780
Cellular Location
Nucleus. Chromosome. Note: Localizes to heterochromatin and inactive X chromosome. Colocalizes with histone H3 trimethylated at 'Lys-27' (H3K27me3)
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C.
Related Product Information for BAHD1 blocking peptide
Heterochromatin protein that acts as a transcription repressor and has the ability to promote the formation of large heterochromatic domains. May act by recruiting heterochromatin proteins such as CBX5 (HP1 alpha), HDAC5 and MBD1. Represses IGF2 expression by binding to its CpG-rich P3 promoter and recruiting heterochromatin proteins. At specific stages of Listeria infection, in complex with TRIM28, corepresses interferon- stimulated genes, including IFNL1, IFNL2 and IFNL3.

Uniprot Description

BAHD1: Heterochromatin protein that acts as a transcription repressor and has the ability to promote the formation of large heterochromatic domains. May act by recruiting heterochromatin proteins such as CBX5 (HP1 alpha), HDAC5 and MBD1. Represses IGF2 expression by binding to its CpG-rich P3 promoter and recruiting heterochromatin proteins. At specific stages of Listeria infection, in complex with TRIM28, corepresses interferon- stimulated genes, including IL28A, IL28B and IL29. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The BAHD1 bahd1 (Catalog #AAA9228050) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "BAHD1, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
