XY1 is an inactive control of SGC707. SGC707 is a potent, selective and allosteric inhibitor of Protein arginine methyltransferase3 (PRMT3) with an IC50 of 31?nM. It inhibits the methylation of histones in cells at a concentration of 1 uM. XY1 is an analog of SGC707 that is completely inactive against PRMT3 at concentrations as high as 100 uM.
