Related Product Information for Phlorizin biochemical
Background: Phlorizin is a competitive inhibitor of SGLT1 (sodium glucose co-transporter 1) and SGLT2 (sodium glucose co-transporter 2); this reduces renal glucose transport, lowering the amount of glucose in the blood. It competitively inhibits the initial rate of alpha-methyl-D-glucopyranoside (alpha-MDG) uptake in human COS-1 cells expressing hSGLT1 and hSGLT2 with IC?? values of 400 and 65 nM, respectively. In HEK293T cells expressing human SGLT1 and SGLT2, phlorizin exhibits Ki values of 140 and 11 nM, respectively, at 37 degree C.

Product Notes

The Phlorizin (Catalog #AAA843268) is a Biochemical and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Phlorizin, Biochemical" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
