Related Product Information for PECAM1 recombinant protein
Background: The Cluster of Differentiation 31 (CD31) adhesion molecule, also known as platelet-endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1 (PECAM-1), is the only known member of the CAM family on platelets. CD31 protein is a 130-kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by endothelial cells, platelets, monocytes, neutrophils, and certain T cell subsets. CD31 protein is also expressed in certain tumors, including epithelioid hemangioendothelioma, other vascular tumors, and histiocytic malignancies. CD31 plays a key role in removing aged neutrophils and tissue regeneration. CD31 protein mediates the homotypic or heterotypic cell adhesion by binding to itself or the leukocyte integrin alphavbeta3, and thus plays a role in neutrophil recruitment in inflammatory responses, transendothelial migration of leukocytes, as well as in cardiovascular development.

Uniprot Description

BCHE: Esterase with broad substrate specificity. Contributes to the inactivation of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Can degrade neurotoxic organophosphate esters. Defects in BCHE are the cause of butyrylcholinesterase deficiency (BChE deficiency). BChE deficiency is a metabolic disorder characterized by prolonged apnoea after the use of certain anesthetic drugs, including the muscle relaxants succinylcholine or mivacurium and other ester local anesthetics. The duration of the prolonged apnoea varies significantly depending on the extent of the enzyme deficiency. BChE deficiency is a multifactorial disorder. The hereditary condition is transmitted as an autosomal recessive trait. Belongs to the type-B carboxylesterase/lipase family.

Product Notes

The PECAM1 bche (Catalog #AAA8122725) is a Recombinant Protein produced from HEK293 Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Met1-Lys59 0. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD31, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
