alpha synuclein Recombinant Protein

Mouse alpha synuclein

Purity
More than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Synonyms
alpha synuclein; Mouse alpha synuclein; alpha synuclein recombinant protein
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Host
E Coli
Purity/Purification
More than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Form/Format
Lyophilized from a 0.2 ?m filtered solution of 25mM Na-acetate pH 4.2
Sequence
The first 10 N-terminal amino acids are: MDVFMKGLSK
Physical Appearance
White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Dimers and Aggregates
Over 95 % monomer as determined by SEC at pH 3.5
Endotoxin
Less than 0.1 ng/µg (IEU/µg) of alpha synuclein
Solubility
Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in ddH2O. Mix gently and do not mix by vortex. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 ?g/ml. Aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
Protein Content
Protein quantitation was carried out by UV spectroscopy at 280 nm using the absorbency value of 0.34 as the extinction coefficient for a 0.1% (1mg/ml) solution at pH 8.0. This value is calculated by the DNA-man computer analysis program.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized protein should be stored at < -20 degree C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-7 degree C for 2-7 days. Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at < -20 degree C for 3 months.
Related Product Information for alpha synuclein recombinant protein
Alpha-Synuclein is a member of the Synuclein family. It is expressed principally in brain but also expressed in low concentrations in all tissues except liver. Alpha synuclein interacts with UCHL1, Phospholipase D and histones. In addition, alpha synuclein is an important regulatory component of vesicular transport in neuronal cells. It has been suggested that alpha synuclein is related to the pathogenesis of Parkinson's Disease and neurodegenerative disorders. Defects in its action will lead to Dementia Lewy Body (DLB). Mouse Alpha-Synuclein, is also known as Non-A Beta Component of AD Amyloid, Non-A4 Component of Amyloid Precursor, NACP, SNCA, NACP, PARK1. Recombinant mouse alpha-Synuclein is produced by our E.coli expression system and the target gene encoding Met1-Ala140 is expressed, and purified as periplasmic protein by ion-exchange chromatography.

Product Notes

The alpha synuclein (Catalog #AAA400137) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: The first 10 N-terminal amino acids are: MDVFMKGLSK. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "alpha synuclein, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
