Plasminogen is prepared by Lysine Sepharose.Chromatography then activated by reaction with immobilized uPA. The active plasmin was purified by SBTI agarose and eluted with benzamidine to ensure activity. The benzamidine was removed by G-25 gel filtration

Procedural Notes
Plasmin will readily undergo proteolysis in the absence of benzamidine and should be used quickly once thawed.

At -70 degree C. AVOID REPEATED FREEZE THAWS.
