Rabbit CD14 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-CD14 antibody
CD14 Antibody
IHC: 1:50-1:200
ELISA(peptide): 1:20,000-1:40,000
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of extracts from Mouse lung, using CD14 Antibody. The lane on the left was treated with blocking peptide.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)-Paraffin
(MBS9612037 at 1/100 staining Human liver cancer and adjacent normal tissues by IHC-P. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The sample was then blocked and incubated with the primary antibody at 4°C overnight. An HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit antibody was used as the secondary antibody.)
Post Translational Modifications: N- and O- glycosylated. O-glycosylated with a core 1 or possibly core 8 glycan.
Subcellular Location: Cell membrane>Lipid-anchor. Secreted. Membrane raft. Golgi apparatus. Note: Secreted forms may arise by cleavage of the GPI anchor.
Tissue Specificity: Detected on macrophages (at protein level) (PubMed:1698311). Expressed strongly on the surface of monocytes and weakly on the surface of granulocytes; also expressed by most tissue macrophages.
Subunit Structure: Interacts with LPS-bound LPB (PubMed:1698311, PubMed:23264655). Belongs to the lipopolysaccharide (LPS) receptor, a multi-protein complex containing at least CD14, LY96 and TLR4 (PubMed:11274165). Interacts with LPAR1 (By similarity). Interacts with the TLR2:TLR6 or TLR2:TLR1 heterodimers; upon interaction with ligands such as diacylated lipopeptides and triacylated lipopeptides, respectively (PubMed:16880211). Interacts with MYO18A (PubMed:25965346).
Similarity: The C-terminal leucine-rich repeat (LRR) region is required for responses to smooth LPS.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Predicted Molecular Weight: (Calculated)40kDa.
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a surface antigen that is preferentially expressed on monocytes/macrophages. It cooperates with other proteins to mediate the innate immune response to bacterial lipopolysaccharide. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein. Product Notes
The CD14 cd14 (Catalog #AAA9612037) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CD14 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD14 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:50-1:200 ELISA(peptide): 1:20,000-1:40,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD14 cd14 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD14, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
