Related Product Information for anti-SDPR antibody
Description: Plays an important role in caveolar biogenesis and morphology. Regulates caveolae morphology by inducing membrane curvature within caveolae (PubMed:19525939). Plays a role in caveola formation in a tissue-specific manner. Required for the formation of caveolae in the lung and fat endothelia but not in the heart endothelia. Negatively regulates the size or stability of CAVIN complexes in the lung endothelial cells. May play a role in targeting PRKCA to caveolae (By similarity).

Post Translational Modifications: Phosphorylated on Ser residues.

Subunit Structure: Component of the CAVIN complex composed of CAVIN1, CAVIN2, CAVIN3 and CAVIN4. Binds to PRKCA in the presence of phosphatidylserine (By similarity). Interacts with CAVIN4; this augments the transactivation of NPPA by CAVIN4 (PubMed:18332105, PubMed:24567387). Interacts with CAVIN1 (PubMed:19525939, PubMed:24567387). Interacts with CAV3 (PubMed:24567387).

Similarity: The leucine-zipper domain is essential for its localization in the caveolae. Belongs to the CAVIN family.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a calcium-independent phospholipid-binding protein whose expression increases in serum-starved cells. This protein is a substrate for protein kinase C (PKC) phosphorylation and recruits polymerase I and transcript release factor (PTRF) to caveolae. Removal of this protein causes caveolae loss and its over-expression results in caveolae deformation and membrane tubulation.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]

Uniprot Description

SDPR: May play a role in targeting PRKCA to caveolae. Belongs to the PTRF/SDPR family.

Protein type: Lipid-binding

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q32-q33

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; caveola; cytosol

Molecular Function: protein binding; protein kinase C binding; phosphatidylserine binding; phospholipid binding

Product Notes

The SDPR sdpr (Catalog #AAA9611484) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SDPR Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat Predicted: Pig, Bovine, Horse, Sheep, Rabbit, Dog, Chicken, Xenopus and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SDPR can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SDPR sdpr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SDPR, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
