Related Product Information for anti-MLLT4 antibody
This gene encodes a multi-domain protein involved in signaling and organization of cell junctions during embryogenesis. It has also been identified as the fusion partner of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL-1) gene, involved in acute myeloid leukemias with t (6;11) (q27;q23) translocation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene, however, not all have been fully characterized.

NCBI Description

Acid phosphatases are enzymes capable of hydrolyzing orthophosphoric acid esters in an acid medium. This gene is up-regulated by androgens and is down-regulated by estrogens in the prostate cancer cell line. This gene exhibits a lower level of expression in testicular cancer tissues than in normal tissues. The protein encoded by this gene has structural similarity to prostatic and lysosomal acid phosphatases. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described, but their biological validity has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Afadin: plays a role in adhesion by participating, along with E-cadherin and catenin, in the organization of homotypic, interneuronal and heterotypic cell-cell adherens junctions (AJs). Essential for the association of nectin and E-cadherin. Contains 1 forkhead-associated (FHA) domain, a phosphopeptide recognition domain; 1 dilute (DIL) domain, a myosin-like domain which may play a functional role in cellular processes or vectorial vesicle transport; 1 PDZ domain, which frequently binds the carboxyl-terminal sequences of proteins or phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate in the plasma membrane; and 2 RA domains, which are associated with RasGTP effector activity. Five alternatively spliced isoforms have been described. Isoform 2 does not interact with F-actin.

Protein type: Oncoprotein; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Cell adhesion

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 6q27

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; cell-cell adherens junction; apical part of cell; cytoplasm; plasma membrane; intercellular junction; cytosol; cell junction

Molecular Function: protein C-terminus binding; protein binding; Ras GTPase binding; cell adhesion molecule binding

Biological Process: intercellular junction assembly and maintenance; cell-cell signaling; cell adhesion; signal transduction

The MLLT4 mllt4 (Catalog #AAA9447588) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MLLT4 Conjugated Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MLLT4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Most Applications. Suggested Dilution: AF350 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF405 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF488 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF555 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF594 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF647 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF680 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF750 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 Biotin conjugated: working with enzyme-conjugated streptavidin, most applications: 1:50-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MLLT4 mllt4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MLLT4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
